Thailand with Koh Samui
Bangkok, the northern cities of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, and three nights in Koh Samui, the island from The White Lotus. Nine days with private tours.
About this journey
Start in Bangkok with the Grand Palace, Golden Buddha and Reclining Buddha. Head north to Chiang Rai for a tea plantation, the White and Blue Temples and a boat ride on the Kok River past villages. In Chiang Mai: Doi Suthep, an orchid farm, an elephant sanctuary where you feed and bathe the animals, and a Khantoke dinner.
Finish on Koh Samui, in the Gulf of Thailand, with three free days at the beach. Tours are private with a Spanish-speaking guide; the elephant sanctuary visit is shared and selected for its care of the animals.
Price in US dollars, per person sharing a double room, with three lunches and one dinner. International flights and the two domestic flights are not included; we can quote them alongside the trip. You can add a stay in Dubai on the way home.
The itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok
Arrival in Bangkok and private transfer, with a Spanish guide, to the hotel. Accommodation for two nights, with breakfast.
Bangkok is one of the most dynamic cities in Southeast Asia. Recognized for its intense urbanization and mixture of modernity and tradition, it is an important cultural, economic and political center of the country. Its agitated atmosphere reflects a unique combination of contemporary development and traces of its rich history.2nd day: Bangkok
Breakfast at the hotel and private tour, with a Spanish guide, to Buddhist temples in Bangkok: Wat Traimit, with its invaluable 51⁄2 tons of solid gold Golden Buddha; Wat Po, with its colossal reclining Buddha; and the Great Bangkok Palace, one of the most beautiful and ancient examples that used to be the residence of the kings of Thailand. It will be the opportunity to discover the palaces that were used for different occasions, such as the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Room, the Coronation Room and the impressive Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Remaining day free for independent activities.Day 3: Bangkok – Chiang Rai
After breakfast and check-out of the hotel, private transfer to Bangkok airport for boarding in flight to Chiang Rai.
Landing and meeting with guide for private tour to Chui Fong, a tea plantation, to meet various delicacies such as tea ice cream and tea cake (not included). It includes lunch in a local restaurant (no drinks).
In the afternoon, visit the House of Opium and the villages of ethnic minorities Akha and Yao, as well as the famous women-gyrafa.
Hotel continuance and accommodation for 1 night, with half alimony.Day 4: Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai
Breakfast and hotel check-out. A traditional boat ride on the banks of the Kok River, passing by Karen villages among other mountain tribes.
Then visit Wat Rong Suea Ten Temple, also known as Blue Temple, and the famous White Temple of Wat Rong Khun. Transfer to Chiang Mai (about 3 hours) and stop for lunch in a local restaurant (no drinks).
Visit to the Wat Doi Suthep Temple complex, the best known of Chiang Mai, located on the top of a hill 15 km from the city.
Hotel continuance and accommodation for 2 nights, with half alimony.Day 5: Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the hotel and private tour of some craft factories to observe the local work process.
Continuing the tour to the Mae Sa Valley, to visit the orchid farm. Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Visit the elephant sanctuary for an experience of care and preservation of the Asian elephant, including interactions, such as giving them food and taking part in the bath in the elephants in their own natural pool.
At night, typical Khantoke dinner that allows you to taste local cuisine and learn about Thai tradition and hospitality.Day 6: Chiang Mai – Koh Samui
After breakfast and check-out of the hotel, private transfer to Chiang Mai airport for boarding in flight to Koh Samui.
Private arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
