Essential Japan plus four nights in Seoul: palaces, Gangnam, Gwangjang Market and the Korea everyone is talking about. Eleven days in total.
About this journey
The same six days of Essential Japan, from Tokyo to Kyoto, followed by a short flight to Seoul instead of finishing in Osaka. Two guided days in Korea: Lotte World Tower with the city at your feet, Starfield Library, the creative Seongsu neighbourhood, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon village and Gwangjang Market for good food.
A combination for travellers who want both countries in one trip without rushing. On your free day in Seoul, you can visit the DMZ if you're curious about the border.
Departures almost every week between April 2027 and March 2028; prices vary by date. Quoted in US dollars, per person sharing a double room. International flights and the Osaka–Seoul flight are not included; we can quote them alongside the trip.
The itinerary
Day 1: Tokyo
Arrival in Tokyo and shared transfer, with Spanish assistant, to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is known for its temples, technology, and shopping centers. The city brings together traditional and modern areas, being an important economic and cultural hub.
Note: • Depending on the arrival time of the flight (at times when the shuttle type bus does not operate), the transfer will be by bus from the airport to the TCAT bus terminal, followed by taxi;
• If the arrival is by Haneda airport, a taxi transfer supplement will be applied;
• The representative does not accompany the passengers during the arrival transfer.2nd day: Tokyo
After breakfast at the hotel, regular half-day tour of various sights in the company of a guide in Spanish, using public transportation.
Visit to Meiji Shrine (Meiji Jingu), Imperial Palace Square (external area), Senso-ji Temple (Asakusa Kannon) and traditional Nakamise-dori shopping street, one of the oldest in Japan. The walk ends in Shibuya, a shopping district famous for the busy crossing of pedestrians.
Free afternoon for independent activities. Return to the hotel independently.
Optional, not included:
• Tour in public transport to attend a tea ceremony in Asakusa.Day 3: Tokyo – Hakone – Tokyo
Breakfast at the hotel and full day tour, with a Spanish guide, to visit Hakone with the opportunity to hold a short cruise on Lake Ashi.
Visit to Hakone-Jinja Shrine, a Shinto shrine located on the shores of Lake Ashi. Dedicated to the gods of Mount Hakone, it is a popular destination for those seeking spiritual peace and stunning landscapes.
Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Finally, visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum.
Return to the hotel.
Note: these tours depend on weather conditions. If it is not possible to take the tour of Lake Ashi, there will be an alternative tour to Hakone Sekishoato.4th day: Tokyo – Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Shared transfer to Tokyo station with Spanish assistance and assistance in boarding the Nozomi bullet train to Kyoto.
Arrival and reception by the Spanish guide for a half-day walk to Nara. Visit the Todai-ji Temple, with a huge statue of Buddha, and Nara Park, famous for its deer.
After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
Note: After check-out in the morning, bags (1 suitcase of 23kg per person) will be sent to Kyoto. Bags will arrive at the hotel on the afternoon of the same day or the next day depending on the delivery service available.Day 5: Kyoto
After breakfast at the hotel, shared day tour of the city with Spanish guide.
Visit to the Sanjusangen-do Temple, with a thousand statues of Kannon, the god of mercy, the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, with thousands of torii (red gates), the Golden Temple Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), the Tenryu-ji Temple, with a beautiful Japanese garden, and the bamboo grove of Arashiyama.
Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Return to the hotel.

• Visit to the district of Gion, by bus, without a guide.Day 6: Kyoto
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.

• A full day tour with a guide to Hiroshima and Miyajima in Spanish, including a visit to the Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island, Hiroshima Memorial Park and the Dome of the atomic bomb (return from the station to the hotel not included).Day 7: Kyoto – Seoul
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer shared to Kansai airport for boarding on flight to Seoul (flight not included).

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is known for its palaces, traditional markets and technological centers. The city brings together ancient and modern elements, being an important economic and cultural hub.Day 8: Seoul
After breakfast at the hotel, regular day tour, with Spanish guide, through the neighborhoods of Gangnam and Songpa.
Visit Lake Seokchon, park located in the heart of the city, followed by a visit to the famous Lotte World Tower, South Korea's highest skyscraper, which offers panoramic views of the city by Seoul Sky Observatory.
Then visit in public transportation to COEX (Convention & Exhibition Center), where are located the famous Starfield Library and the iconic Gangnam Style sculpture.
At the end of the tour, visit the Seongsu-dong district, known for its coffee shops, galleries, concept shops and creative atmosphere.9th day: Seoul
After breakfast at the hotel, regular half-day tour with Spanish guide. Visit to Gwanghwamun Square, considered the political and cultural heart of Seoul, where is the statue of King Sejong, creator of the Korean alphabet (Hangul).
Then visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace (closed on Tuesdays), the largest and most important palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Continuing to Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional neighborhood that preserves typical Korean houses (hanoks), and Insadong Street, known for its craft shops, art galleries and tea houses. Free time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of Korea, which houses one of the country's most important collections of art and historical heritage, and the Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul's oldest, famous for its traditional cuisine and atmosphere.10th day: Seoul
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.

• Full day walk through the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone of Korea), with a Spanish guide, to discover the border between South Korea and North Korea and some of the region's main historical landmarks.Day 11: Seoul
