Namibia by road, at your pace
Twelve days driving through Namibia: cheetahs in Okonjima, safari in Etosha, the Swakopmund coast and the dunes of Sossusvlei.
About this journey
Namibia is a safari you can enjoy behind the wheel. Quiet roads, an automatic car with unlimited mileage and a lodge waiting at the end of each day. Leave Windhoek, visit Okonjima's cheetah project, spend three nights in Etosha on self-drive safaris, then visit a Himba village and the rock paintings at Spitzkoppe.
Next comes Swakopmund, a German-influenced city on the Atlantic coast, where the desert meets the sea. Finish in Sossusvlei, with towering dunes and Deadvlei's dry trees at dawn. An itinerary for people who enjoy freedom rather than a timetable.
Driving days cover long stretches of 250 to 400 km on good roads. Price in US dollars, per person sharing a double room, including the car and accommodation. Flights, fuel and park fees are not included. We'll arrange the flights and adjust the number of days.
