Rome, Florence and Bologna by train
Eleven days in central Italy, with trains between cities, a guided walk in each and plenty of free time to choose the experiences that interest you most.
About this journey
Four nights in Rome in total, three in Florence and three in Bologna, all with breakfast and connected by train. In each city, a half-day guided walk helps you find your bearings: Rome's squares and fountains, the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio in Florence, and Bologna's porticoes and towers.
The rest of the time is yours. Bologna is a capital of Italian food, home to tortellini and ragù, and people make a point of coming here. That's why it's part of the itinerary.
