About this journey

Awasi is a Chilean lodge collection with a different approach: just 25 villas, each with a heated pool and views of the Três Ilhas archipelago, two restaurants, a Sisley spa and a private island for dinner. It's in Ganchos de Fora, an hour from Florianópolis airport.

The programme is fully hosted: meals, an open bar, wines, spa treatments and your own guide with a 4x4. Snorkelling at Arvoredo, surfing lessons, oysters in Ribeirão da Ilha, waterfalls and cachaça in São Pedro de Alcântara. You choose the pace.

It's the resort we most often recommend to people living in southern Brazil who want luxury without a long flight. Price in US dollars, per person sharing a villa, all inclusive. Flights to Florianópolis are not included.

The itinerary

1st day: Florianópolis – Hooks of Fora
Arrival at Florianópolis International Airport - Hercílio Luz and private transfer of about 1 hour to AWASI Santa Catarina.
The Awasi Santa Catarina is facing the archipelago of Three Islands and is protected by a quiet bay, ideal for nautical activities and moments of total serenity. The 25 private villas include a heated pool and sea view. Some units offer sauna and even a private gym In addition, the lodge has two blocks – one tennis and one beach tennis –, a Spa by Sisley overlooking the sea and two restaurants. Another advantage for guests is access to a private island, where there is the possibility of having dinners and small events, in addition to the trails that travel the entire property, connecting guests to nature.

The All Inclusive (Fully Hosted Program) includes:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, a gastronomic experience highlighting the best local ingredients;
Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including a special selection of wines. Open bar, cocktails and mocktails;
Private tours in 4x4 vehicle, two half-day excursions or a full-day excursion, organized and offered by AWASI;
Selected spa treatments;
Personalised service locally, as per guests' preferences and needs.
2nd to 4th day: Outboard Hooks
Free days to enjoy the infrastructure and private excursions organized and offered by AWASI, adapted to the guest's pace.
Suggestions of activities:
Surfing class at Praia de Fora: moderate water activity, where soft waves from Praia de Fora favor the initiation to surfing. Professional instructors accompany the participants in individual sessions of 2 hours, providing all the equipment and personalized guidance.
Bees & Greens Experience: sensory and contemplative experience provides an intimate encounter with the universe of native bees and the pure flavors of the earth.
Snorkel experience in Ilha do Arredo, one of the most important marine reserves in southern Brazil. Among the rock formations and coral reefs, starfish, hedgehogs, octopus and a wide variety of colorful invertebrates are seen. Throughout the experience, the instructors accompany the guests, assist in identifying the species and lead visitors to the best points of observation. Water, usually crystalline, favors the appreciation of the vibrant marine life present in this true ecological sanctuary.
Full day tour in Florianópolis. Visit to museums, cathedral, public market and San Francisco Church. Then pass through Ribeirão da Ilha for knowledge of Azorean heritage. Includes a typical lunch and oyster farm experience.
Full day walk in the region of São Pedro de Alcântara. The activity includes visit to the Winery Scherer, with tasting of cachaças, passage by São Pedro de Alcântara, walk by the Path of Tropas to the Waterfall of the Salt and lunch in picnic format on a local farm. Optional horseback riding complements the rural experience of the region.
Day 5: Outboard Hooks
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel.
